Alone

Deep in the night,
I’m lying on my bed,
My bedsheets feel so cold—
As cold as your expressions.
And I have never,
Ever before
Felt so alone.
I look at the ceiling:
Concrete walls.
I look at the sky,
A million stars above me,
And I sense it.
The feeling of grandness.
How big it all really is.
The earth,
The countries,
The cities,
The plains.
How many shadows are there?
How many people are tired
Of their reflections?
How do people survive?
A thousand questions
Rise in my head.
Like, how do people find
Solitude in loneliness?
How do people breathe?
In a world so suffocating,
How do you find your place
In a world so crowded?
And how many people are like me,
Feeling just as alone?
