God, bombs, and broken clocks

Holding Hand
Taking stand
Everything Planned
Something Banned
Slipping Sand
Dipping Brand

Dreaming while being awake
Feeling the jolts of the quake
Everything on mend to make
A lot of things being at stake
Fear of drowning still sitting at the lake
Standing up for love ready for custom's to break

Finding God as if Jeffrey Dahmer
Died more calmer than a suicide bomber
Memories being faded as if Alzheimer
Looking at the stars as if an astronomer
Turning into a snake as if Amit the charmer
Taking support as the plant climber

Being bombed as if Palestine
Children searching for the sign
Cities being abandoned which were crowded as if Shrine
Paying up for nobody's crime
Reporting these things only for the dime

Tonight i can write the saddest lines like Pablo Neruda
Following the Madhyam Marg as if Buddha
Not able to cross it's limit as if the Triangle Bermuda
Emile Durkheim searching for a tribe like Arunta
Betraying your own as if Juda
Befriending the USSR as if Fidel Castro of Cuba
Not making any eye contact as if Medusa

Possessed by the big five like Emily Rose
Being exorcised by multiple pope

Satan taking away all the hope
She just laid there lifeless as if she froze

Stuck Like John in Predestination Paradox
No exit from there everywhere locks
Time travelling with the machine and clocks
Stuck in a loop trying to diffuse the bombs

Putting down my work like a slave till i go the grave
Making peace with life and trying to be brave
So that i could come out of allegory of the cave
There's no miss damsel in distress to save

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Abhishek Kumar Singh hails from India and in India the beautiful state of Bihar—a land where the sacred Ganga paints the rhythmic beauty of Madhubani paintings, and the Kosi flows with a sorrowful grace. It is a place where the stirring tales and poems of Veer Kunwar Singh and Ramdhari Singh Dinkar were born. As a student, Abhishek often found himself dozing off in math and science classes. Instead, he was drawn to the world of literature, which, to him, made more sense than the laws of physics, and to history, which felt far more colorful than chemistry. A passionate traveler, Abhishek finds inspiration in nature and weaves those experiences into poetic expressions—laying them gently on the pages of his soul.
