Indecisiveness kills the enemy

by Maria Cabrera

Decisions are hard, and I try to regard.
I am pulled from what to do,
when I'm splitting into two.

I climb into a cave of knots,
and crumble from the depths of
“Should I or should I not?”

Society judges a book by its cover,
never knowing if they’re going to recover.
No one knows me behind my face,
it's either my past or my present case.

I feel like I'm pulled by two strings,
trying to decide where my heart rings.
Having to sit and choose,
makes me want to lose.

I can’t just figure out what I desire,
when there are choices that both are on fire.
Picking and choosing makes me numb;
It makes me feel dumb.

What if my choices are wrong,
and I don’t belong?
What if I regret it and it’s permanent?
I try to console and decide,
but it always divides.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I would like to share this piece of art with y'all because it has something in me; it makes me feel a sigh of relief to take whatever's in my heart and make it poems on papers. If you're reading this, I hope you like my writings.
